本产品基于间接ELISA实验测试，排除与小鼠IgM外的其他小鼠IgG亚型的非Fab部分反应，与血清中非免疫球蛋白的其他组分没有交叉反应；经过测试，本产品与人，牛和兔血清蛋白没有任何交叉反应，不排除与其他物种的血清有交叉反应的可能（没有测试其他物种数据）。
本二抗产品最显著的用途是用于间接ELISA方法进行非IgM亚型单克隆抗体细胞株筛选：在单克隆抗体中如果筛选到IgM亚型的抗体非常棘手，本产品将IgM亚型单克隆抗体细胞株扼杀在摇篮中，基本原理是本二抗不会针对IgM亚型产生反应，因此筛选的时候得到的细胞株全部为非IgM亚型。
