Basedonimmunoelectrophoresisand/orELISA,theantibodyreactswiththeFcportionofhumanIgGheavychainbutnotwiththeFabportionofhumanIgG.NoantibodywasdetectedagainsthumanIgMorIgA,oragainstnon-immunoglobulinserumproteins.TheantibodyhasbeentestedbyELISAand/orsolid-phaseadsorbedtoensureminimalcross-reactionwithbovine,horseandmouseserumproteins,butitmaycross-reactwithimmunoglobulinsfromotherspecies.
