本试剂盒可测血清、血浆及动植组织样本中维生素C含量。
维生素C在体内参与胶原物质合成，是脯氨酸羟化酶和赖氨酸羟化酶的辅因子，是催化多巴胺转变成去甲的铜酶多巴β羟化酶所必需，当维生素C缺乏时，合成的胶原得不到充分的羟化，不能很好的形成纤维。
维生素C最明显的化学活性是作为还原剂，它可以将Fe3+还原成Fe2+，促使铁在肠道吸收，促进铁的贮存和利用。
抗坏血酸作为自由基清除剂，可以很快地与O-2、H2O2反应，更快地与OH-反应生成抗坏血酸自由基，它也可以清除O-2，因此，抗坏血酸可以保护机体免受内源性氧自由基的损伤。
　　维生素C能与-生育酚自由基还原成维生素E，间接地起着链阻断剂作用。
　　维生素C是血浆中最有效的抗氧化剂，是细胞外液抗氧化防御系统的第一道防线，Vc对血浆中正在进行着的脂质过氧化作用也有阻断作用。

注意事项：
1. 本试剂盒的检测试剂中含有萤光素酶，反复冻融会导致其逐渐失活。尽管经测试本试剂反复冻融5次对于其检测效果无显著影响，为取得良好的使用效果，*次解冻后可适当分装保存。反复冻融过程中，可能会导致检测试剂中出现少量沉淀，此时宜平衡至室温，并尽量溶解。如仍有残留的不溶物，可以离心去除后使用，经测试不会影响后续的检测效果。
2. 检测时需使用白色或黑色的96孔板或384孔板。如果使用普通透明的96孔板或384孔板，相邻孔之间会产生相互干扰。
3. 使用说明中提供了检测ATP标准品的方法，实际检测细胞活力时通常并不需要检测ATP标准品。
