Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable enzyme that can withstand prolonged incubation at temperatures up to 95“C without significant loss of activity. The enzyme consists of a single polypeptide with a molecular weight of 94 kDa. It has a 5´a3´ DNA polymerase activity and a 5´a3´ exonuclease activity (Figure 1). Taq DNA Polymerase is supplied with 10X PCR buffer [200 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.4), 500 mM KCl], and 50 mM MgCl 2 . Taq PCRx DNA Polymerase is supplied with 50 mM MgS0 4 , 10X PCRx Enhancer Solution, 10X PCRx Amplification Buffer, 50 mM MgCl 2 , and 10X PCR buffer. PCR SuperMix is a 1.1X concentration of Taq Polymerase, dNTPs, MgS0 4 , and buffer. Store at -20°C. Guaranteed stable for 6 months when stored properly.
