Human Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP or Pancreatic hormone) is synthesized by neuroendocrine cells in the pancreas and is found in enteric nerves.Its release is stimulated during all phases of digestion and increases gastric acid secretion and motility in the stomach and intestine. PP has been shown to suppress appetite. PP consists of 36 amino acids and has a molecular weight of 4391 Da.
