The D7S522/CEP7 FISH Probe is intended to detect the copy number of the LSI D7S522 and CEP 7 probe targets located at chromosome 7q31 and 7p11.1-q11.1, respectively.Monosomy 7 and loss of chromosome 7q are observed in a variety of myeloid malignancies such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In some instances, these abnormalities are associated with patient outcome. The D7S522 Red/CEP 7 Green Probes have been used to detect copy number abnormalities of the LSI D7522 and CEP7 probe targets in both AML and MDS.
