稳定性相关：
1.无色液体，有氨味，本品毒性小。能与水混溶，溶于乙mi、丙.酮等大多数有机溶剂。能溶解大多数有机与无机化合物、极性气体、天然及合成高分子化合物。
2.化学性质：在中性溶液中比较稳定。在4%的氢氧.化钠溶液中8小时后有50%~70%发生水解。在浓盐酸中逐渐发生水解，生成4-甲氨基丁酸CH3NH(CH2)3COOH。由于羰基的反应，可以生成缩酮或硫代吡.咯烷酮.
3.在碱催化剂存在下与烯烃作用，在第3位发生烷基化反应。N-甲基吡.咯烷酮为弱碱性，能生成盐酸盐。与重金属盐形成加合物，例如与溴化镍加热到150℃，生成NiBr2(C5H9ON)3，熔点105℃。

【用途三】 N-甲基吡.咯烷酮是一种优良的抽提溶剂，广泛用作芳烃抽提、乙炔提浓、丁二烯分离和合成气的脱硫等过程中的萃取剂，同时也是农药、工程塑料、涂料、合成纤维、集成电路等生产中的溶剂，也可作工业用洗涤剂、分散剂、染色剂、润滑油抗冻剂等。该品有毒性低，大鼠口服LD50为7ml/kg。

Stability related:

1. Colorless liquid with an ammonia odor, this product has low toxicity. Can be miscible with water and soluble in most organic solvents such as ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and ketone. Can dissolve most organic and inorganic compounds, polar gases, natural and synthetic polymer compounds.

2. Chemical properties: relatively stable in neutral solutions. After 8 hours in a 4% hydroxide sodium hydroxide solution, 50% to 70% undergo hydrolysis. Hydrolysis gradually occurs in concentrated hydroch.loric acid, producing 4-me.thylaminobutyric acid CH3NH (CH2) 3COOH. Due to the reaction of carbonyl groups, ketals or thiopyrrolidone can be generated

3. In the presence of an alkaline catalyst, it reacts with olefins and undergoes alkylation reaction at the third position. N-me.thylpyrrolidone is weakly alkaline and can generate hydro.chloride salts. Forming adducts with heavy metal salts, such as heating nickel bromide to 150 ℃ to generate NiBr2 (C5H9ON) 3, with a melting point of 105 ℃.
